Fire performance
The fire performance of Firetex plasterboard is very similar to Fireshield. The Fire Resistance Level of Firetex when used in internal steel framed partition walls
(Blueprint V3 Section 3.1), and internal timber framed walls (Blueprint v3 Section 3.3) is shown in the tables below.

Other systems
For all other wall, ceiling and specialty systems as published in the other sections of Blueprint v3, Firetex can replace Fireshield without change to the Fire Resistance Level. The fire performance of Interhome systems is unaffected and Firetex can replace Fireshield without affecting the Fire Resistance Level.
In terms of acoustic performance, Firetex has the same acoustic performance as Fireshield. Any Siniat wall, ceiling or specialty system that uses Fireshield, can be referred to for acoustic performance information.
